MATAN BALALTY

I am an independent filmmaker.

After 3 years service at the IDF as a photograper, I went to Tel aviv university film school. At film school I shot a few award winning short films, and became a Cinematographer.

 2012 - I have started to direct/edit commericals & promos, and at the same time started my grading/vfx career at Post office post production.

2018 - A short movie that I have shot "the love letter" won a prize in TRIBECA festival. And then was sold to HBO network.

​

 2019 - Shot my first feature film  "Abu-Omar" that won 1st place at Haifa festival as WIP category and now nominated for Cannes festival 2020.

​

these days I work mainly as a Cinematographer.
